| Description | Latilactobacillus sakei is a Gram‑positive, short‑rod‑shaped lactic acid bacterium that grows well on MRS medium, forming milky‑white, smooth and round colonies. The strain exhibits plasmin‑like activity to dissolve thrombi. It can boost urokinase production and up‑regulate the expression of anticoagulation‑related genes in vascular endothelial cells, thereby improving the body’s anticoagulant capacity. Meanwhile, it promotes the proliferation of venous vascular endothelial cells and increases the level of intracellular antioxidants to facilitate the repair of oxidatively‑damaged vascular endothelium. It down‑regulates pro‑inflammatory factors and up‑regulates anti‑apoptotic factors, alleviating inflammation and apoptosis of vascular endothelial cells. Capable of biofilm formation, this strain enhances its adhesion and colonization onto intestinal mucin and intestinal epithelial cells. It can be applied in the development of functional products for ameliorating aged blood vessels and venous thrombosis. |
