Enterococcus Strains
Enterococcus faecalis and Enterobacter faecali are the main Gram-positive cocci found in human feces. Enterococci colonize the bodies and bodies of humans and mammals, particularly in the gastrointestinal tract and on the skin. Their production of Enterococcin can be used as a natural antimicrobial agent in the food industry and as a potential candidate to replace antibiotics for the treatment of a wide range of drug-resistant pathogens.
Although the strain may be used as a probiotic, however, the prevalence of virulence factors and antibiotic resistance genes and the ability to cause disease may compromise their use in food, human and animal health. When using Enterococci as probiotics, certain aspects related to their probiotic properties and safety issues need to be considered. The application of Enterococcus spp. in pets and farm animals is currently receiving increasing attention. However, in the process of product development using this strain, it is recommended to consult with our professional scientists for detailed information on its safety aspects.
